The Center for the Interdisciplinary Study of Music invites you to the first installment of the "Music, Text, and the Spoken Word" performance series: 

Indo-European Traditions in Music and Verse--Greco-Hindustani Roots

Faculty from the Classics Department will read the poetry of Sappho in translation and in the original Greek meter. Other readings will include ancient and modern poetry of India, +music inspired by the poetry!
